The Public Figure & VIP Security Protocol

Surgical care for those who require discretion

For executives, public figures, celebrities, elected officials, and individuals whose visibility demands an elevated standard of privacy, cosmetic precision, and operational excellence.

The ADS Private Services Standard

Advanced Dermatologic Surgery has quietly become the practice of choice for individuals whose public profile demands discretion—corporate executives, elected officials, media personalities, professional athletes, and public figures from across the country.

Our Private Services program was developed in response to a simple reality: for a specific tier of patient, privacy is a requirement, and cosmetic excellence is a professional asset.

We do not simply offer skin cancer treatment. We offer surgical stewardship—the confidence that your care, your appearance, and your time are managed by a physician who understands what is at stake.

BENEFIT

What this means for you

Complete Privacy

You will not encounter other patients. You will not sit in a waiting room. Your presence at our facility remains confidential.

Superior Cosmetic Results

Dr. Hocker performs all reconstructive plastic surgery himself in our accredited Ambulatory Surgery Center. He is a highly published expert and nationally renowned speaker and educator on reconstructive plastic surgery techniques. Unlike referral to a general plastic surgeon—who may have limited experience with facial skin cancer defects—Dr. Hocker specializes exclusively in reconstructive plastic surgery of skin cancer removals, with particular expertise on the face.

Single-Surgeon Continuity

From cancer removal to final reconstructive plastic surgery, one surgeon manages your entire case. No handoffs. No referrals. No strangers entering your care.

Respect for Your Time

We coordinate directly with your assistant or team. All paperwork is digital. Your private suite is equipped for remote work during any waiting periods.

Direct Access

As a Chairman's Clinic patient, you receive direct weekend access to Dr. Hocker—bypassing all answering services.

The Chairman's Clinic (By Invitation)

A dedicated clinic day designed around the needs of high-profile patients. The Chairman's Clinic operates less like a medical office and more like a private facility.

The Private Suite Model

"One Patient, One Room." You are assigned a private Front Office Exam Suite that serves as your secure sanctuary for the entirety of the day. Once you enter your suite, you never have to leave or be seen by another patient. The room is yours—your private office, your recovery lounge, and your surgical staging area all in one. Ensuring total privacy from check-in to discharge, until it is time to go to our on-site Ambulatory Surgery Center for reconstruction.

Movement from your private room to the on-site Ambulatory Surgery Center for reconstruction will follow our confidentiality protocols, ensuring that you interact only with staff members directly involved in your care.

Choreographed Arrival

Arrivals are timed with precision. You move directly from your vehicle to your secure suite without ever crossing paths with another patient. Our team coordinates your arrival time to ensure the pathway is clear.

Business Continuity

Your suite is equipped to serve as a remote office. Wi-Fi is secure. Privacy is absolute. You may take calls, join video conferences, or conduct business without fear of interruption. We built this program for people who cannot disappear from their responsibilities.

Cancer Types

Basal Cell Carcinoma, Squamous Cell Carcinoma, or Melanoma

Why plan for a full day?

Mohs surgery is performed in stages—each stage requires tissue processing in our on-site laboratory. The number of stages cannot be predicted in advance and varies by tumor. For melanoma cases specifically, the Mart-1 immunohistochemical staining process takes at least 3-4 hours per stage.

During waiting periods:

Your private suite is designed for productive use. Many patients also choose to leave the office between stages to dine at a nearby restaurant or return to their hotel—we will contact you when it is time to return.

The Reconstructive Plastic Surgery Advantage

For patients who care about cosmetic outcomes—particularly on the face—the question of who performs your reconstructive plastic surgery is critical.

The Typical Scenario

At many practices, complex facial defects are referred out to a general plastic surgeon. This creates several problems:

  • The plastic surgeon may have limited experience with skin cancer defects specifically
  • A second procedure at a separate facility is required
  • General anesthesia is often used (with its attendant risks)
  • The surgeon who removes the cancer is not the surgeon who reconstructs the defect
  • Cosmetic outcomes are often inferior due to lack of specialization

The ADS Difference

Dr. Hocker performs all reconstructive plastic surgery himself in our AAAHC-accredited Ambulatory Surgery Center. This includes the most complex facial procedures:

  • Paramedian forehead flaps (total nasal reconstruction)
  • Complex eyelid reconstructions
  • Lip and ear reconstructions
  • Large interpolation flaps and staged procedures

Because Dr. Hocker specializes exclusively in reconstructive plastic surgery of skin cancer defects—with particular expertise on the face—his cosmetic outcomes are consistently superior to referral to a general plastic surgeon. He is a highly published expert and nationally renowned speaker and educator on these techniques.

The Bottom Line:

One surgeon. One facility. One day. Superior cosmetic results.

Weekend Safety Protocol

Direct Access

As a Chairman's Clinic patient, you are provided direct weekend access to Dr. Hocker or the Head Nurse via a private line. This bypasses all answering services. Your surgeon is available until you are confident in your recovery.

Local Availability Requirement

To ensure continuity of care, Chairman's Clinic patients must commit to remaining within the Kansas City metropolitan area until Monday morning. This ensures that if a complication arises, the surgeon who operated on you is the surgeon who assesses you.
